Michael Dexter "Dex" Brown of Tulsa, a 2006 graduate of Pryor High, died in a traffic accident Saturday, June 2.

Funeral services for the son of Robert and Stephannie Brown of Pryor will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at First Baptist Church in Pryor, under the direction of Shipman's Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 4, at the funeral chapel.

Daris Schell, 25, of Tulsa, who also died in the one-vehicle accident at 2:30 a.m., was southbound on Delaware Avenue near 116th Street when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Brown, 24, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Friends went to search for Brown and Schell when they did not arrive to a location as expected and they discovered the accident.

Brown had earned a degree in business administration from the University of Tulsa and was working as a landman for Associated Resources.
